Writing matters.  In a world of blogs, samples and copy-paste it can be easy to forget what the written word is capable of.  This site might just remind you.  Professional, accurate copy is one thing (though even this can be rarer than one might imagine) but the capacity to take words and make them powerful... beautiful... make them challenge and change and accomplish their potential?  This is what writers exist to do, be it in a tweeted sentence, a feature-film screenplay or anything in between.

If this is what you are looking for, then you have come to the right place.

I am a UK based screenwriter, playwright and producer living and working between London and Amsterdam.  I studied journalism in my home city of Edinburgh and am a graduate of Birmingham University’s MPhil in Playwrighting Studies.  I have 10 years' creative industry experience working on feature film projects in Bollywood, Nollywood, North Africa, and the UK as a screenwriter and script consultant.

I am represented by Zero Gravity Management New York and have broken into the Hollywood production line with two large scale projects now in development.  My first Hollywood producing credit, The Man Who Knew Infinity, (Pressman Films) starring Jeremy Irons will be released worldwide in March 2016.  In the theatre, my plays ‘Prints of Denmark’ and 'Killing the Dream' were staged in theatres in London in 2007 and 2009.  The theatre is still my first love, but the film work tends to dominate these days.

Having worked on over forty professional projects in five years, I am a strong believer in the capacity of the profession to reward good work from good people.  With that in mind, I will look at any potential project or commission on its merits and the merits of those who wish to work on it.

If that sounds like the kind of working process that appeals to you, please do contact me through the tab on this site or for American projects, via Zero Gravity Management on the representation page.
